Welcome! If you’re reading this, you are thinking about embarking on a very important and sometimes intimidating journey – talking to a counselor. You’re also wondering, who are these people? First, the fancy stuff - I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Substance Use Disorder Professional in Washington State. I received my Masters of Counseling degree from Seattle University in 2014. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010 with a Major in Psychology and minor in LGBTQIA+ studies. I have spent the last ten years working in community mental health agencies in Olympia and Seattle, serving a wide variety of clients.
I’m deeply passionate about helping students move through roadblocks like anxiety, depression, feelings of overwhelm and anything else standing in their way of a deeply fulfilling life. I take a harm reduction approach to addiction and believe that you are the expert in your own experience. You can expect counseling to offer you new tools to manage emotions, explorations of stuck patterns in your life and identifying areas you want to bring change to.
As well as being a mental health counselor, I’m also a hiker, a skier, a rock climber and soccer player. I love to read fantasy and sci-fi books, watch indie movies with my dog and plan my next camping trip!
