I might be a little bias, but dentistry is the best! You are never on call, don't work weekends or nights. It is always changing and finding ways to provide patients with the best care. Prior to coming to SPSCC, I worked as certified chairside dental assistant. I love dentistry and being a dental assistant. Just like dentistry, teaching has been an adventure there is always something new to learn or to tryout. I love sharing my industry knowledge and experiences with my students.
In 2021, I stepped into the Directorship position after almost 10 years of teaching in the program. I love working with our dedicated faculty and staff to find ways to enhance the students experience and get them excited about their role in being a dental healthcare provider. I am also the Co-Director for our Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary; for those Dental Assistants who are looking to grow their skills.I was born and raised in the Evergreen State. I love the rain in its all forms, yes here in Washington rain comes in many forms. Mount Rainer is what makes it home for me, but I also enjoy the beach and its calming waters.
